Starting with a visit to an Anglican church with unusual icon art by a contemporary Scottish artist depicting expats living here since the early 90's. A visit to a Russian Orthodox church in hidden away in an apartment building. Down the hill we will have a look at Mimar Sinan's last mosque and lunch in a local restaurant of Karakoy, (the old port now trendy and quaint). We will end up in an ancient caravansaray once stables and boarding travelers on the silk road, now a unique oasis of artists and metal workers working side by side.
