Byzantine Photo Walk:

 

Please wear your comfortable shoes, and a scarf for the mosque, we will be going up and down hills and in and out of many amazingly beautiful sites of worship. Starting at the once ancient second hand book bazaar and onto the Grand Bazaar we will cross over to a 17th century caravansary onto a rooftop and from there we will walk through the University area and visit a the Kalenderhane Byzantine church/now mosque with it's exquisite marble interior. Following the Valans aqueduct with a stop in an art deco cafe, we will go to trendy Fener for lunch and then up the hill to the Orthodox church of Mary of the Mongols.
